7 Killed in Firefighting Bell 412 Helicopter Crash During Training Mission in Argentina

San Juan, Argentina, July 30, 2026 [VoM News]: Seven people have lost their lives after a firefighting helicopter faces a massive crash during a training mission in San Juan province of Argentina on Wednesday, local authorities said as per AFP news report.

As the forest fires are going in Argentina, and the
the Bell 412 helicopter was reportedly assisting in battling these forest fires.

Reports say that it lost contact with its base at around 10:30 a.m. local time, and got crashed inside the Ischigualasto Natural Park, before heading to the neighbouring province of La Riojam.

Meanwhile, the rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the crash site, and investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of the crash.

Marcelo Orrego – the San Juan Governor confirmed the causalities and extend the condolences to the victims’ families.

A three-day official mourning with national and provincial flags to be flown at half-mast has been announced by San Juan provincial government.
