Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot responded to dissatisfied Congress workers who have been protesting ticket allocation for the upcoming assembly elections. Gehlot acknowledged that it is natural for not everyone to be completely satisfied and emphasized the democratic process, where decisions involve consultations with various party leaders.

Gehlot stressed that in a democracy, even the Chief Minister cannot unilaterally make all decisions according to personal preferences. He recognized the diversity of opinions within the party and explained that ticket distribution for the upcoming elections was based on suggestions from multiple sources.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence in the party’s ability to secure victory in the upcoming elections, citing the government’s track record of effective work and public support. He stated, “Common people want our Government to come back to power because we have worked…”

Addressing Discontent and Future Adjustments

In response to the protests and discontent among party leaders, Gehlot assured that the dissatisfied leaders would be contacted, and adjustments would be made after the elections. He also mentioned the possibility of granting ministerial status in Board Commissions to address the concerns of certain leaders. Furthermore, Gehlot expressed confidence that none of their unhappy leaders would defect to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The Congress party recently released its fifth list of candidates for the Rajasthan Assembly election, naming candidates for various constituencies in the state. While some leaders may be dissatisfied with the ticket allocation, the party is focused on projecting a unified front and hopes to break the tradition of changing governments in Rajasthan every five years.

Rajasthan is one of five states scheduled to hold elections next month, with polling in the state set for November 25 and the vote count to be conducted on December 3. The upcoming elections are crucial, and both major political parties are vying for a strong presence in the state government.
