    A tragic incident unfolded as a 35-year-old male, identified as Rameez Raja Ganie, took his own life by leaping into the waters of the River Jhelum, in close proximity to the Abdullah Bridge within Rajbagh, Srinagar.

    The deceased, originally from Pampoore, had been residing in Sari Bala, Srinagar at the time of the unfortunate incident.

    Swiftly responding to the distressing situation, a joint rescue team composed of personnel from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and the River Police Srinagar sprang into action. They worked tirelessly to recover the lifeless body of Mr. Ganie from the river.
