The government has introduced a 24-hour “Traffic Dry Day” to facilitate essential repair work at Dhalwas by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). In accordance with a directive issued by the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for Traffic on the National Highway, and in compliance with instructions from the District Magistrate of Ramban, a 24-hour “Traffic Dry Day” has been scheduled for the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44).

Accident Near Kandni Kishtwar; Three Dead

This unique traffic measure will be in effect from 12:00 AM on the night of October 21st to 12:00 AM on October 22nd, 2023, allowing for crucial road repair operations at Dhalwas, managed by NHAI. In accordance with the District Magistrate’s order, the public is urged to heed the traffic advisory, which restricts the movement of all Light Motor Vehicles (LMV) and Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMV), with the exception of medical emergency vehicles, on NH-44 between the Navyuga Tunnel and Nashri Tunnel, and vice versa, during the specified hours. This proactive step has been taken to ensure the safety and efficiency of the repair work and the smooth flow of traffic on this vital highway.
