Strict Warning Issued to Schools for Transportation Norms
Baramulla: The Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) of Baramulla, Muazzam Ali, has issued a stern warning to schools across the district, emphasizing the importance of adhering to transportation norms. He cautioned that strict action would be taken against those failing to comply with regulations.
Enforcement Drive Targets Non-Compliant School Buses
An enforcement drive led to the blacklisting of 19 school buses belonging to Delhi Public School Baramulla due to non-compliance with transportation regulations. Alongside, drivers and transport incharges were sensitized during this initiative, indicating the seriousness of the situation.
Ali emphasized the urgency for school authorities to ensure completion of vehicle documents within seven days to avoid repercussions. Failure to adhere to these directives, he warned, could result in severe consequences for the schools involved.
Commitment to Road Safety Reinforced
The enforcement drive stemmed from directives to conduct a comprehensive road safety audit of school buses. It was revealed that numerous vehicles were operating without the necessary documents, highlighting a concerning trend that needed immediate rectification.
Ali reiterated the department’s commitment to stringent action against traffic violators, emphasizing road safety as a collective responsibility. He assured that such enforcement drives would persist in the future, with a zero-tolerance policy towards violations in place.
