Zelensky Vows Strong Response After 18 Killed in Russian Strikes in Ukraine

Russian Missiles Strike Kyiv and Other Ukrainian Cities, Leaving 18 Dead and Over a Hundred Injured

A wave of Russian missiles hit Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities on Tuesday, resulting in 18 casualties and more than a hundred injuries. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky vowed a forceful response as rescue workers in Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city, worked to save survivors from collapsed buildings and blazing fires caused by the strikes.

Zelensky’s Defiant Response and Warning to Russia

President Zelensky addressed the nation, condemning Russia’s aggression and emphasizing Ukraine’s resilience. He stated that Russia perceives ordinary life as a threat, labeling the state as a typical terrorist. Zelensky promised a far-reaching response and warned that the Russian war would be brought back to its origin, calling for an end to the evil that Ukraine has been enduring.

International Reactions and Condemnation of Russian Attacks

The international community reacted strongly to the attacks, with the US ambassador to Ukraine, Bridget Brink, emphasizing the need for continued support to protect Ukraine from such cruel attacks on civilians. France condemned Moscow’s actions, accusing Russia of war crimes and holding them solely responsible for the escalation. The Kremlin, however, denied targeting civilians and vowed to continue its invasion despite mounting criticism.
