Weather Forecast for Jammu and Kashmir: Light Snow Expected in Higher Reaches
The Meteorological Department has predicted light snow at isolated higher reaches on January 25, followed by light rain and snow over scattered places for the subsequent two days in Jammu and Kashmir.
Dry weather is expected to continue until January 24, with generally cloudy weather in the evening on the 20th. From January 26 to 28, light rain and snow are forecasted over scattered places.
There is also a possibility of light to moderate rain/snow at many places from January 29-31, according to indications from different models.
Temperature Conditions and Fog Alert
The MeT department has forecast the redevelopment of moderate to dense fog and a fall in day temperature over Jammu Division in the next three days.
Regarding minimum temperatures, Srinagar recorded a low of minus 4.9°C, Qazigund at minus 5.0°C, Pahalgam at minus 6.3°C, Kokernag at minus 1.4°C, Kupwara at minus 5.0°C, and Gulmarg at minus 3.6°C. Jammu recorded a minimum of 5.0°C, while Banihal recorded minus 0.8°C, Batote minus 1.7°C, and Bhaderwah minus 0.4°C.
