Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar to Visit Jammu, Attend SMVDU Convocation

Jammu, Feb 13 – Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar will visit Jammu on Saturday for a day-long tour, during which he will also offer prayers at the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine, officials confirmed.

As part of his visit, Dhankhar will be the chief guest at the 10th convocation of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) at the Matrika Auditorium in Katra. The event will mark a significant academic milestone for the institution.

In addition to attending the convocation, the Vice President will visit the revered Mata Vaishno Devi shrine and the Bhairon temple atop Trikuta Hills in Reasi district.

Dhankhar was initially scheduled to attend the SMVDU convocation on December 27, 2023. However, his visit was postponed due to state mourning following the passing of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
