US to Impose Hundreds and Hundreds and Hundreds of Sanctions on Russia
Under Secretary of State Victoria Nuland announced that the United States will impose “hundreds and hundreds and hundreds” of sanctions against Russia in a new package marking the second anniversary of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Some sanctions will target individuals responsible for the death of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, while the majority will focus on weakening “Putin’s war machine” and addressing gaps in existing sanctions regimes.
President Joe Biden had previously mentioned the forthcoming major package of sanctions against Russia, with the details expected to be announced on Friday.
