US Military Launches Self-Defence Strikes Against Houthi Missiles in Yemen

The US military’s Central Command (CENTCOM) states it conducted self-defence strikes against two Houthi antiship cruise missiles in Yemen, deeming them an “imminent threat” to merchant vessels and US Navy ships.

CENTCOM reports that the Houthis fired two antiship ballistic missiles at a container vessel in the Gulf of Aden, resulting in one missile striking the ship without reported injuries.

Additionally, a Houthi-launched missile in the southern Red Sea impacted the water.
