University of Jammu Reschedules Exams Amid Weather Disruptions; Fresh Dates Announced
Jammu, Sept 7: The University of Jammu has announced the rescheduling of examinations that were earlier postponed due to unprecedented rains, floods, and disruptions across various parts of Jammu Province.
According to an official notification issued by the Controller of Examinations, with improved weather conditions and better forecasts, the academic and examination calendar is being restored. Fresh dates for the postponed examinations have now been made available on the university’s official website www.coeju.com.
The university has also made special provisions for students who are still unable to reach examination centers due to blocked roads or persisting bad weather in their hometowns. Such students will be permitted to appear in re-examinations without paying any additional fee. However, they must submit proof of circumstances preventing their attendance, duly attested and recommended by their college Director, HOD, or Principal, within ten days of the missed exam.
“This shall apply for examinations notified to be held up to September 14, 2025, and a review will be undertaken if necessary,” the notification reads.
Students have been advised to stay updated through the university website, as no separate intimation regarding fresh dates will be issued.
The decision has come as a relief to students and parents across the region, who had expressed concerns over examination delays caused by the severe weather conditions.
