United States Attacks Iranian Air Defence System on Goruk and Qeshm Island
Washington, June 01, 2026 [VoM News]: In a major retaliation, United States carried out the strikes being described as “self defence strikes” against Iranian radar and drone command facilities on Goruk and Qeshm Island.
As per updates available with VoM News, United States Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that strikes were launched after Iran struck down an American MQ-1 Predator drone which was operating over international waters.
CENTCOM further stated that United States fighter aircraft targeted Iranian air defense system, a drone control station and two one-way attack drones during the retiliation attack.
This latest confrontation between United States and Iran added more fuel to already burning fire and raises concern on the negotiation efforts.
