UAE Welcomes UN Resolution for Ceasefire in Sudan During Ramadan
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has expressed its welcome for the United Nations Security Council resolution calling for a ceasefire in Sudan during the holy month of Ramadan.
The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) issued a statement expressing hope that this resolution would contribute to resolving the crisis among Sudanese parties.
The aim is to alleviate the suffering of the Sudanese people, particularly the vulnerable groups such as the sick, children, the elderly, and women.
The ministry reaffirmed its unwavering support for efforts promoting de-escalation, achieving a ceasefire, and initiating political dialogue to restore peace, safety, and security in Sudan.
