Two Dead 13 Injured in Reasi as Vehicle Plunges into Gorge
Tragedy struck a marriage celebration in Reasi as a vehicle, transporting members of the wedding party, veered off the road and plunged into a gorge, resulting in the death of two individuals and causing injuries to at least 13 others. The incident occurred on Monday when the Ecco vehicle with registration number JK20C-2474 was en route from Balmatkote to Baddar road in the Mohre area.
Promptly responding to the emergency, locals and the police initiated a large-scale rescue operation. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, two individuals lost their lives, and 13 others sustained injuries. The injured were swiftly transported to the District Hospital Reasi, with four of them in critical condition subsequently transferred to GMC Rajouri for specialized medical care.
The victims were part of a marriage party returning from a celebratory event. A case has been registered, and the police have commenced further investigations into the circumstances surrounding the tragic accident. The community mourns the loss of lives and hopes for the swift recovery of those injured in this unfortunate incident.
