Truecaller Reaches Milestone of 400 Million Monthly Active Users
Key Highlights:
- Truecaller achieves 400 million monthly active users globally.
- Significant growth of 10.1 million users since March 31, 2024.
- Over 50 billion unwanted calls identified and blocked in 2023.
Truecaller, the leading global platform for verifying contacts and blocking unwanted communication, proudly announces a significant milestone of reaching 400 million monthly active users. This growth underscores the platform’s rapid expansion across various geographic markets, with an increase of 10.1 million users since March 31, 2024.
“Reaching 400 million active users each month is something we are very proud of,” said Alan Mamedi, Co-founder and CEO of Truecaller. “However, the need for a solution like Truecaller is significantly greater. The problem of unwanted communication, spam, and fraud over the phone is unfortunately only growing for both individuals and businesses. New technology and increased opportunities for fraudsters to make money are driving this development. We continue to develop our app and add new functionality to protect our users before, during, and after a phone call or SMS.”
Truecaller reported an average of 383.4 million active users per month during the first quarter of 2024, with the number rising to 389.9 million by the end of the quarter. The company will continue to report the average number of monthly and daily users on a quarterly basis in its interim reports.
Truecaller’s mission is to build trust in communication by enabling safe and relevant conversations between people and making it efficient for businesses to connect with consumers. In 2023, Truecaller identified and blocked close to 50 billion unwanted calls. The company has seen more than a billion downloads since its launch and remains a crucial tool in combating fraud and unwanted communication, particularly in emerging markets.
Headquartered in Stockholm since 2009, Truecaller is a co-founder-led, entrepreneurial company with a highly experienced management team. Truecaller has been listed on Nasdaq Stockholm since October 2021. For more information, visit truecaller.com.
