Tragic Accident in Reasi: Three Dead, One Injured

In a tragic incident near Bidda, Reasi, a Mahindra Bolero Camper bearing registration number JK20 6673 plunged into a deep gorge on the Damtop-Bidda Road. The accident resulted in the immediate deaths of three individuals and left a young girl injured.
The deceased have been identified as Mukesh Singh, approximately 40 years old, the son of Suneet Singh and a resident of Sai Lanjan, Panchayat Dharan in the Thakrakote tehsil of Reasi district.
Alongside him, his mother, Sunita Devi (also known as Guddi), and his sister, Toshi Devi (also known as Shoba), also lost their lives.
The sole survivor of this tragic accident is Toshi Devi’s daughter, a girl of about three years old. After the accident, she was promptly taken to the District Hospital Reasi for initial treatment.
Due to the severity of her injuries, she was subsequently referred to GMC Jammu for further medical care.
The victims were reportedly traveling from Sai Lanjan to Jyotipuram when the accident occurred. The local authorities and rescue teams arrived at the scene promptly, but despite their efforts, the three adults could not be saved.
The community mourns the loss of these lives, and the incident has sent shockwaves through the region.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the accident, which has once again highlighted the dangers of traveling on hilly terrains and the need for stringent safety measures.
The local administration has urged drivers to exercise extreme caution while navigating these roads to prevent further tragedies.
