In a tragic incident in Kinnaur district, Himachal Pradesh, a car carrying two tourists from Tamil Nadu and a local driver veered off the road and plunged about 200 meters into the Sutlej River. The driver lost control of the vehicle on National Highway 305 near Pangi Nala. As a result, two people were swept away, and one person sustained serious injuries.

Rescue Operation and Treatment of Injured

Upon receiving information about the accident, Reckong Peo police, Quick Response Team (QRT), and Home Guard personnel promptly reached the scene. They transported the injured individual to the regional hospital in Reckong Peo for treatment. Simultaneously, a search operation was initiated to locate the missing persons.

Discovery of Driver’s Body and Ongoing Search

While search officials discovered the body of the driver, identified as Tenzin, on Monday morning, efforts are ongoing to locate the third missing person. The search team scoured the banks of the Sutlej and surrounding areas, emphasizing the urgency of the operation.
