Tiger Shroff Escapes Unhurt in Mumbai Firing, Driver Injured; Bishnoi Gang Link Probed
MUMBAI, October 18, 2026 (VoM News): As per police officials, Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff escaped unhurt after three bike-borne assailants allegedly opened fire at his vehicle in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday evening, while his driver sustained an injury.
As per reports, the firing reportedly occurred around 7 pm when Shroff was leaving after playing football in Juhu. Television actor Karanveer Mehra was reportedly accompanying him, during the firing incident.
His driver, identified as Firdaus, suffered an injury to his left hand and was hospitalised, as per police sources.
An autorickshaw driver, identified as Chauhan, was also injured and remained under treatment.
A video circulating online purportedly captured the attack, with at least four gunshots audible. Investigators have yet to establish the exact number of rounds fired.
Following the incident, an audio message surfaced in which a man identifying himself as Anil Pandit claimed responsibility on behalf of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
He alleged that Shroff was targeted for ignoring the gang’s warnings and continuing his association with actor Salman Khan.
Police have not independently established the authenticity of the claim.
Around 15 specialised police teams have reportedly been formed to identify and apprehend the attackers and investigate the circumstances surrounding the firing.
Authorities are also examining the purported Bishnoi gang claim as part of the investigation.
