Three Arrested in Samba for Illicit Diesel Hoarding and Sale
Police have apprehended three individuals on charges related to the illicit hoarding and sale of diesel in Samba District.
A spokesperson for the police revealed that Kapil Kumar from Mangu Chak, Samba; Pawan Kumar from Kotli Gujjran Gurdaspur (Punjab); and Ritikh Kumar from Chak Manga, Rakwal, Samba, have all been taken into custody.
The spokesperson mentioned that a case has been registered against the accused under FIR number 24/2024, citing relevant sections of the law at Police Station Samba. Further investigation is underway.
The police spokesperson provided details of the alleged activities, stating that Kapil Kumar, who operates a tire puncture repair shop near Duggar Haveli, Nanke Chak, Samba, has been engaging in the illegal sale of diesel from his makeshift kiosk for the past six months.
The arrest occurred when Kapil Kumar, along with two accomplices, was caught red-handed by a police team in the presence of Executive Magistrate First Class Samba while unlawfully selling the oil.
In connection with the case, a truck used for hoarding the oil was also seized from the location. The police are continuing their efforts to uncover additional details and evidence related to the illegal activities.
