Telangana CM KCR Criticizes UP CM Yogi and Karnataka Dy CM Shivakumar in Election Rallies
As the November 30 Assembly elections in Telangana draw near, Chief Minister and BRS leader K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) did not mince words while addressing three separate election rallies. KCR, seeking support for his party’s candidate, took aim at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar.
Yogi Adityanath’s Criticism
KCR lambasted Yogi Adityanath, noting his visit to Telangana and his efforts to offer lessons while there is no guarantee of food for people in his own state. KCR questioned the credibility of those who come to Telangana to give advice when agriculture laborers from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal migrate to Telangana for livelihood. He pointed out the irony of receiving lessons from leaders whose states struggle with fundamental issues like food security.

Comparing Power Benefits
KCR ridiculed DK Shivakumar for discussing the Karnataka government’s offer of five hours of free power to farmers when the BRS government provides 24 hours of power to farmers. He underlined Telangana’s progress, highlighting the state’s top rankings in per capita income and power consumption. He attributed this success to the protective measures implemented by the BRS.
Congress’s Record and Promises
KCR also criticized the Congress Party, alleging that they never considered irrigation projects that would benefit Telangana. He expressed concern that the return of the Congress could usher in a middleman-based regime. KCR listed the promises from the BRS manifesto, which include increasing amounts for social pensions and the Rythu Bandhu agricultural support scheme.
Telangana’s Development and Peace
KCR hailed Telangana’s development, attributing it to the prevailing peace and tranquility. He noted that the state leads in per capita income and per capita power consumption, with per capita power consumption doubling to 2,200 units from 1,100 units.
Ongoing Election Dynamics
KCR warned that various politicians and parties would approach the electorate seeking votes and urged people to remain vigilant. He accused the Congress of having cheated the people of Telangana by delaying the state’s formation despite promising it. He underscored that Telangana was the first state to implement the Rythu Bandhu program, offering investment support to farmers.
The Congress’s stance on abolishing Dharani, an integrated land management portal, was criticized by KCR, who argued that such a move would revive the middlemen era.
