Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on September 5, 2024, at HSS Goha. The event was graced by Tehsildar Marmat, Sh. Ravi Shanker, who served as the Chief Guest, and was conducted under the overall supervision of Principal Sh. Gopal Dass Chalotra.
The celebration began with the singing of the National Anthem, followed by floral tributes to the portrait of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, the second President of India and a scholar of great vision, in whose honor Teachers’ Day is observed.
During the event, students highlighted the crucial role of teachers in nation-building. The Chief Guest, Sh. Ravi Shanker, elaborated on the significant impact teachers have in shaping the future of the country within the classroom.
He urged students who have reached the age of eighteen to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming Assembly Election 2024. Additionally, he encouraged those under eighteen to spread awareness about the importance of voting and to increase voter participation in the democratic process.
The esteemed Principal, Sh. Gopal Dass Chalotra, expressed his gratitude to the Chief Guest, former PRI members, and senior citizens for their valuable presence at the event. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of prizes to students who excelled in various activities.
Teachers from HSS Goha and other schools within the cluster were also felicitated for their dedication and contributions.
