Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Chief and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu, participated in a flagship event on Wednesday, shedding light on the ‘Kalalaku Rekkalu’ scheme. Launched jointly by TDP-JSP-BJP on March 8, the scheme aims to empower women in the state.
Addressing the event, Naidu emphasized the significance of empowering women and unveiled the innovative ‘Kalalaku Rekkalu’ scheme. He stressed the importance of daring to dream and striving to achieve, while highlighting the strength of women in society. Naidu proudly announced that TDP was the first party in the country to introduce 33 per cent reservations for women in educational institutions and employment opportunities.
Under the ‘Kalalaku Rekkalu’ scheme, the upcoming TDP-JSP-BJP government plans to pay the interest on loans taken by women pursuing professional courses. Additionally, the government will act as their loan guarantor, alleviating financial burdens and facilitating access to education for women across the state. Naidu reaffirmed his commitment to investing in the future of Andhra Pradesh and its women.
