Stock Market Update: Sensex and Nifty Open Deep in the Red
As of 11 am, the Sensex has plunged 1,048.31 points (1.43%) to 72,080.46, and the Nifty is down 291.20 points (1.32%) at 21,741.10. The decline is attributed to a global market trend following a selloff in US stocks and bonds. Mixed earnings from Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs, along with concerns over Middle East tensions, have contributed to the negative sentiment. PTC Industries witnessed a 10% surge after its subsidiary signed a pact with Dassault Aviation for the supply of titanium cast parts for the Rafale multirole fighter aircraft.
