State Excise Department seizes Rs 1.14 crore worth of cannabis in Navi Mumbai, 2 held
Navi Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India] June 14 (ANI): The State Excise Department apprehended two persons in Taloja, Navi Mumbai, seizing cannabis worth Rs 1.14 crore.
Acting on a tip-off, officers intercepted a car on the Mumbra-Panvel Highway near Taloja, uncovering 414 kg of cannabis.Officials from the State Excise Department stated that they received confidential information about drug trafficking in a car.
During the search, they discovered 414 kg of cannabis.The department has registered a case under the NDPS Act and arrested Arif Zakir Sheikh, 25, and Parvez Sheikh, 29. (ANI).
