
SSP Udhampur addresses PCPG Meeting at Udhampur town
Udhampur, February 28, 2025: To strengthen police-public relations and spread awareness on key community issues, a Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting was chaired by SSP Udhampur, Sh. Amod Ashok Nagpure, IPS, at Riwayat Banquet Hall, Udhampur, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
The meeting was attended by DYSP Headquarters Udhampur, SHO Udhampur, prominent citizens, ex-police personnel, chowkidars, panches, sarpanches, and local youth.
Key Discussions include:
• Zero FIR: SSP Udhampur educated the public about the concept of Zero FIR, explaining how complaints can be lodged at any police station, regardless of jurisdiction.
• Drug Abuse: Awareness was raised about the increasing drug menace among youth, its harmful effects, and legal provisions related to drug control.
• Bovine Smuggling: The SSP informed the attendees about legal actions and consequences associated with illegal bovine transportation.
• New Criminal Laws: The public was briefed on recent amendments in criminal laws and their significance for law enforcement and public safety.
• Police-Public Relations: Emphasis was placed on fostering trust and cooperation between police and the community for better law and order.
