
Shooting Stones Hit Vehicles on Doda Highway; Casualties Feared
Doda, July 20, 2026 (VoM News): A shooting stones incident has been reported in Jammu Kashmir’s Doda resulting in the causualties.
As per reports available to VoM News, shooting stones struck a passenger bus and multiple other vehicles at Raggi Nallah in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district on Monday, officials said.
As the heavy rainfall lashes the belt, triggering the mudslides and continuous shooting stones caused panic among commuters travelling on the highway.
Unverified reports say two persons have lost their lives, whereas, several injured were being rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Whereas, the rescue teams and police launched relief and clearance operations.
Meanwhile, the highway has been closed for vehicular traffic due to mudslides and falling rocks.
Officials said restoration work is underway but may take time as adverse weather continues to hamper efforts.
The authorities in doda have advised commuters to avoid the route until the road is cleared and declared safe for traffic.
