Founded as ZZKKO in 2008 in China and currently based in Singapore, Shein has rapidly become a global force in the fast fashion market. With a valuation of $66 billion last year and reported revenues exceeding $23 billion, Shein is contemplating a significant initial public offering (IPO). Additionally, Chinese-owned online retailer Temu has filed a lawsuit against Shein in a US court, accusing it of using “mafia-style” intimidation tactics to maintain dominance in the local market.
