Samsung Galaxy M55 5G: An Upcoming Addition to the Galaxy M Series
Samsung is reportedly gearing up to launch the Galaxy M55 5G, a successor to the Galaxy M54 5G launched earlier this year. This new model has been spotted on a benchmarking site, hinting at its imminent arrival and revealing some key specifications.
Potential Specifications and Performance
The Galaxy M55 5G, listed under the model number SM-M556B, appears to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, according to a Geekbench listing. This processor achieved scores of 3575 in the single-core test and 11330 in the multicore test. The device is also expected to feature an Adreno (TM) 644 GPU and 8GB of RAM. Running on Android 14-based One UI, the Galaxy M55 5G promises to offer a smooth and updated software experience.
Galaxy M54: The Predecessor
The preceding Galaxy M54, available in Blue and Silver, did not launch in India. In Brazil, it is priced at BRL 1,799 for the 8GB + 128GB option and BRL 3,499 for the 256GB variant. The M54 features a 6.7-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED Plus display with a 120Hz refresh rate, an Exynos 1380 SoC, and a 6,000mAh battery supporting 25W wired fast charging.
Camera and Other Features
The Galaxy M54 boasts a triple rear camera setup, including a 108-megapixel primary sensor with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. A 32-megapixel sensor graces the front for selfies. The phone offers comprehensive connectivity options, including Wi-Fi 6, 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, and various satellite navigation systems.
In terms of design, the Galaxy M54 measures 164.9mm x 77.3mm x 8.4mm and weighs 199 grams. It also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for enhanced security.
Anticipation for the Galaxy M55 5G
The Galaxy M55 5G is highly anticipated, promising significant upgrades in processing power and possibly other areas over its predecessor. However, details such as its camera specifications, battery capacity, and official pricing remain speculative until Samsung officially announces the device.
