Samba Police Seize Three Vehicles in Crackdown on Illegal Mining
In the ongoing effort to combat illegal mining within the district, the Samba Police have taken decisive action by confiscating three vehicles operating under the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba and Police Station Vijaypur. These vehicles were discovered to be involved in the unauthorized transportation and mining of construction materials.
The police teams from Police Station Samba, led by the Station House Officer (SHO) of PS Samba, and Police Post Mansar, under the supervision of the Incharge of Police Post Mansar, successfully impounded a tractor trolley with registration number JK21J-5344 and a dumper with registration number JK14H-0561. These vehicles were seized for engaging in illegal mining and transportation of construction materials within their respective areas of jurisdiction.
Similarly, a patrol team from Police Station Vijaypur, headed by the SHO of PS Vijaypur, seized another tractor trolley with registration number JK21J-2835 for its involvement in illegal mining and transportation activities in the area. The Samba Police have promptly taken control of these vehicles and handed them over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba, ensuring that appropriate actions will be taken against those responsible for the illegal activities.
