JAMMU, Sept 21: Government Railway Police (GRP) Jammu today recovered 80 grams of heroin-like-substance worth Rs 40 lakh in the retail market.
Accordingly, a case under FIR number 14/2024 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station GRP Jammu and started further investigation.
“A thorough investigation will be conducted to dig out the backward and forward linkages of the source of the banned drug,” said a GRP official.
Pertinently, this is the seventh case of seizure of banned drugs made by GRP Jammu in the last two months. The market price of the seized banned drugs is around Rs 96 lakh.
