Restrictions Withdrawn in Most Parts of Doda, Continue in Kahara and Chilly Pingal
Doda, Sept 14: The District Administration Doda has withdrawn restrictions imposed under Section 163 of the BNSS across most parts of the district following an improvement in the overall law and order situation.
According to an order issued by Anil Kumar Thakur, JKAS, Additional District Magistrate Doda, the restrictions—originally enforced on September 9 under Order No. 3600-14/DM/Doda—were reviewed in consultation with field officials and law enforcement agencies. The review concluded that normalcy has largely been restored in the district.
However, the administration clarified that the restrictions will continue to remain in force in the territorial jurisdictions of Tehsil Kahara and Tehsil Chilly Pingal until further orders.
“The situation has improved substantially and normalcy has been restored in most parts of the district,” the order stated, emphasizing that the decision was taken after due consideration of reports received from various agencies.
The order, issued on September 14, has been circulated to senior officials, including the Principal Secretary, Home Department J&K; Divisional Commissioner, Jammu; Inspector General of Police, J&K; Senior Superintendent of Police, Doda; and other concerned authorities for necessary action and information.
