RBI Extends Counter Hours for Taxpayers
In a move to assist taxpayers, RBI offices and designated branches of agency banks will maintain normal working hours on March 30 and 31.
Extended Hours for Electronic Transactions
Transactions via electronic means will be accepted until the specified time on both days, easing the process for taxpayers. NEFT and RTGS transactions will be accommodated until midnight on March 31, 2024.
Special Clearing Operations for Government Transactions
Special clearing operations will be conducted for government cheques on March 30 and 31. Agency banks are instructed to present all government-related cheques during these sessions. The exact timing for these clearings will be communicated later.
