R-Type Delta HD Boosted Soon To Deploy on All Major Platforms

Karlstad, Sweden – June 9, 2025 – Clear River Games, a video game publisher specialising in classic and retro games, announced today that one of the most legendary shoot-em-ups of all time will soon return to modern platforms, remastered, reloaded, and razor-sharp. 

Developed by Tokyo-based IREM SOFTWARE ENGINEERING who were responsible for the original version of this classic title, R-Type Delta HD Boosted will land digitally on Nintendo® Switch™, PS4™, PS5™ Xbox and PC in 2025. A physical version of the game will also be available on Nintendo® Switch™ and PS5™.

Originally taking the world by storm in 1998, this dark sci-fi masterpiece returns 27 years later to take centre stage complete with updated HD visuals and a whole host of modern quality of life features.
