Principal Secretary Chandraker Bharti Assures Redressal of Poonch District Issues
A massive Public Darbar was chaired by Chandraker Bharti, Principal Secretary to the Government Home Department J&K, in Poonch district. The event saw a huge turnout of key officials and local representatives, including DDC Chairperson Tazim Akhter, Deputy Commissioner Poonch Yasin M. Choudhary, and DIG Rajouri/Poonch Tejinder Singh, among others.
Delegations Raise Various Issues
During the proceedings, around 28 delegations raised various issues affecting the district, including water scarcity, inadequate staffing in schools and health departments, completion of infrastructure projects, road connectivity problems, and the need for a new Census, Trauma Center for Chandimarh, and other development-related issues. The Deputy Commissioner presented a detailed overview of the ongoing development works across the district.
Assurance of Time-Bound Redressal
Addressing the concerns, Principal Secretary Chandraker Bharti assured the attendees that all genuine issues raised would be redressed in a time-bound manner. The Deputy Commissioner also committed to looking into the matters and resolving them at the district level.
DDC Chairperson Tazim Akhter emphasized the need for inter-departmental coordination to ensure the effective resolution of the people’s grievances. She urged the officials to work closely with the local representatives to address the development needs of Poonch district.
