President to Launch Ayushman Bhava Campaign for Last Mile Health Delivery.
New Delhi: In a significant move towards achieving universal healthcare access, President [President’s Name] is set to launch the “Ayushman Bhava” campaign on September 13, according to Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya. This campaign is designed to ensure the effective delivery of health schemes to all intended beneficiaries, especially those in the last mile.
“Seva Pakhwada” Commences on PM Modi’s Birthday.
While the formal launch of the “Ayushman Bhava” campaign is scheduled for September 13, it will be introduced during the ‘Seva Pakhwada,’ commencing on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17. The Seva Pakhwada will run until October 2, and during this period, various activities have been planned to enhance healthcare accessibility and awareness.
Towards the Vision of ‘Antyodaya’ – Health for All.
Union Health Minister Mandaviya emphasized the importance of achieving the vision of ‘Antyodaya,’ where saturation of health services in every village becomes paramount in reaching the goal of health for all. The campaign aims to ensure that no one is left behind when it comes to accessing essential healthcare services.
Comprehensive Approach of “Ayushman Bhava” Campaign.
The “Ayushman Bhava” campaign comprises three main components:
- Ayushman Apke Dwar 3.0: This component focuses on the creation and distribution of Ayushman cards to all eligible beneficiaries who have not yet received them.
- Ayushman Mela: Weekly health melas will be organized at the level of AB-HWCs and Community Health Centres (CHCs) to promote health awareness and offer healthcare services.
- Ayushman Sabha: Village/ward-level sabhas will be conducted to enhance awareness about various healthcare schemes and services among the local communities.
By successfully implementing these initiatives, the campaign aims to transform gram/nagar panchayats into ‘Ayushman Gram Panchayats’ or ‘Ayushman Wards,’ with saturation of selected health indicators.
Additionally, during the campaign, 60,000 people will receive Ayushman Bharat cards, and an online organ donation pledge registry will be initiated to register pledges from willing citizens across the country. A toll-free helpline number (1800114770) will provide guidance on the pledging process and information on organ donation.Furthermore, the ‘Seva Pakhwada’ will witness blood banks organizing blood donation camps, ensuring the availability of blood and its components in the future. Cleanliness drives at all public health facilities will be conducted with the support of gram panchayat members and others.
Last year, on the occasion of the Prime Minister’s birthday, the government focused on addressing tuberculosis, demonstrating its commitment to tackling critical healthcare.
