Police Officer Working as Escort In-Charge for Telangana Minister Dies by Suicide
In a tragic incident, a 59-year-old police officer, identified as Mohammad Fazal Ali, who was working as the escort in-charge for Telangana Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, allegedly took his own life by shooting himself with his service weapon. The incident occurred around 7 am near a hotel under the jurisdiction of the Jubilee Hills Police Station.
Possible Motive: Financial Issues
While the investigation is ongoing, preliminary information suggests that financial issues may have been the reason behind the officer’s decision to resort to this extreme step. Deputy Commissioner of Police (West Zone), D Joel Davis, visited the scene, and the Minister also visited the spot.
This tragic incident highlights the importance of addressing mental health and financial challenges faced by individuals in various professions, including law enforcement.
