Police Officer and Another Individual Killed in Road Accident in JK’s Poonch

Tragic Road Accident Claims Lives, Including Policeman, in Poonch District

A heartbreaking road accident in Poonch district resulted in the tragic loss of three lives, one of whom was a police officer. The accident occurred when the vehicle they were traveling in skidded off the road and plunged into a 100-ft deep gorge on Tuesday, according to officials.

The ill-fated vehicle was an Alto car with registration number JK12C-6052, and it was being driven by Mohammad Sadiq, a Constable. The accident occurred near Zirat Plera, leading to grievous injuries for both Sadiq and another occupant named Jameel, who were both residents of Plera. Sadly, Sadiq lost his life at the accident scene, while Jameel succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at SDH Mandi.

The incident has prompted the police to register a case, underscoring the importance of investigating such accidents to determine their causes and prevent future occurrences. This tragic accident serves as a somber reminder of the need for road safety and the importance of safe driving practices to protect lives on the road.
