    July 21: Continuing its drive against social crimes, police in Baramulla have arrested three gamblers and seized stake money and playing cards.

    Acting on reliable information regarding gambling activities, a police party led by the SHO of Police Station Baramulla, under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Baramulla, conducted a raid in Cheradari Baramulla.

    During the raid, three individuals were caught red-handed while gambling. The police seized Rs 30,000 in stake money and playing cards from their possession.

    The gamblers have been identified as Wazir Ahmad Din, son of Abdul Khaliq, a resident of Kanlibagh; Mohd Altaf, son of Mohammad Sultan, a resident of Ushkara; and Ishfaq Ahmad Mir, son of Abdul Majeed, a resident of Rangwar Baramulla. They have been taken into custody at the police station.

    A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Baramulla, and an investigation has been initiated.

    Authorities have emphasized that individuals found indulging in criminal activities will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
