The global launch of the Poco M6 Pro 4G occurred on January 11, coinciding with the unveiling of the Poco X6 series. Notably, this release follows the introduction of the Poco M6 Pro 5G in India in May 2023. However, the 4G variant has yet to make its debut in the Indian market, with no official confirmation regarding its future availability. The Poco M6 Pro 4G boasts features such as a MediaTek Helio G99-Ultra chipset, a 5,000mAh battery, and a triple rear camera system with a 64-megapixel primary sensor.
In terms of pricing and configurations, the Poco M6 Pro 4G is offered in black, blue, and purple colors, with options for 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB variants. The pricing for these configurations is set at $199 (approximately Rs. 16,500) and $249 (approximately Rs. 20,700), respectively. Poco has also announced an early-bird pricing strategy, making the 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB variants available at $179 (roughly Rs. 14,800) and $229 (roughly Rs. 19,000), respectively. Interested buyers can currently purchase the handset through the Poco Global website and various online retailers in several regions globally.
In terms of specifications, the Poco M6 Pro 4G features a 6.67-inch full-HD+ Flow AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. The display boasts a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, a touch sampling rate of up to 2,160Hz, and a peak brightness level of 1,300 nits, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Under the hood, the device is powered by a 6nm MediaTek Helio G99-Ultra SoC, coupled with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It offers up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 2.2 onboard storage, expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card. Running on Android 13-based MIUI 14 for Poco, the phone’s camera setup includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. The front camera, housed within a centred hole-punch slot, features a 16-megapixel sensor.
The Poco M6 Pro 4G is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery supporting 67W wired fast charging. Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and USB Type-C. Additionally, it features an in-display fingerprint sensor for security and holds an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. The handset measures 161.1mm x 74.95mm x 7.98mm and weighs 179g.
