PM Modi Expresses Emotional Bond with Pokhran Ahead of Bharat Shakti Exercise
Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared his emotional attachment to Pokhran, stating that the place holds significance for every Indian. He anticipates witnessing the ‘Bharat Shakti’ exercise, showcasing indigenous defence capabilities in a Tri-Services Live Fire and Manoeuvre Exercise
PM Modi looks forward to the demonstration of indigenous defence capabilities in Pokhran, Rajasthan, through the ‘Bharat Shakti’ exercise. The event aims to exhibit a synergized demonstration of the country’s defence prowess, featuring a wide array of indigenous weapon systems and platforms.
Key Highlights of ‘Bharat Shakti’ Exercise
The ‘Bharat Shakti’ exercise will simulate realistic, synergized, multi-domain operations, showcasing the integrated operational capabilities of the Indian Armed Forces. The demonstration encompasses land, air, sea, cyber, and space domains, emphasizing India’s Aatmanirbharata initiative.
Various key equipment and weapons systems will participate in the exercise, including T-90 (IM) Tanks, Dhanush and Sarang Gun Systems, Akash Weapons Systems, Logistics Drones, Robotic Mules, Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH), and unmanned aerial vehicles. The Indian Army will present advanced ground warfare and aerial surveillance capabilities.
Naval and Air Force Contributions
The Indian Navy will exhibit Naval Anti-Ship Missiles, Autonomous Cargo Carrying Aerial Vehicles, and Expendable Aerial Targets, showcasing maritime strength and technological sophistication. The Indian Air Force will deploy indigenous aircraft like Light Combat Aircraft Tejas, Light Utility Helicopters, and Advanced Light Helicopters, demonstrating air superiority and operational versatility.
