Picnics and Excursions Canceled in Doda Schools
Doda: In light of the academic setbacks caused by the delayed start of the school year and the involvement of teaching staff in election-related duties, the District Education Department has issued a directive to halt all school picnics and excursions in both government and private institutions.
A circular issued by the department cited the late start of the academic session as a primary reason for the decision. “With a significant portion of the academic calendar already lost, holding picnics at this stage will further reduce the academic schedule, putting additional strain on students,” the circular read.
Moreover, with upcoming Pooja holidays and the approach of winter vacations, the available time for academic activities is set to decrease further, making it difficult for students to cover the lost ground.
The circular explicitly instructs all heads of institutions in the district to refrain from organizing any excursions. Permissions already granted for such activities have been revoked, and no new approvals will be issued.
The decision has been implemented with immediate effect as the district authorities prioritize academic recovery for students during the remainder of the session.
