PBKS Skipper Curran Praises Bowlers Despite Loss to GT in IPL 2024
After Punjab Kings (PBKS) suffered a defeat against Gujarat Titans (GT) in their recent IPL match, PBKS captain Sam Curran acknowledged that they missed scoring 10-15 runs with the bat. Despite this, he praised his bowlers for their dedication and resilience. The match at Mullanpur Stadium saw Sai Kishore’s impressive four-wicket haul and Rahul Tewatia’s crucial performance leading GT to a three-wicket victory.
During the post-match presentation, Sam Curran commented, “We were a bit short in our batting effort. Our bowling was commendable, showing great commitment and spirit. GT’s spinners Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmed, along with Sai Kishore, bowled exceptionally well. This was our third match on this pitch; aiming for over 160 would have been ideal. Despite this, we fought hard. Prabhsimran Singh played a good innings in the powerplay, but unfortunately, we lost wickets in quick succession. We now understand our task and need to win every upcoming game.”
