Palestinian PM Shtayyeh Urges US Senators for Ceasefire and Humanitarian Aid in Ramallah Meeting
Mohammad Shtayyeh, Prime Minister of the Palestinian caretaker government, discusses with a delegation of US senators, including Cory Booker and Michael Bennett, in Ramallah.
Shtayyeh advocates for Washington’s support in securing an immediate ceasefire and delivering humanitarian relief to the besieged Gaza Strip.
He emphasizes the need for a post-aggression “Marshall Plan” for Gaza, drawing parallels to the US assistance plan for post-World War II Europe.
Shtayyeh also highlights the impact of US vetoes in the UN Security Council and calls for renewed funding for UNRWA to address Palestinian refugee needs.
