Pakistan’s Political Instability Is America’s Gain: Faisal Muhammed
Sanctions Reflect Hasty Decision-Making
International mediator Faisal Muhammed has criticized the US sanctions on Pakistan’s missile program, labeling them as a rushed and inappropriate move by the Biden administration.
In an exclusive interview with Indian news agency VOM, Faisal highlighted that while sanctions are imposed to weaken nations, governments with strong public backing can mitigate their impact. He emphasized Pakistan’s unique position as the only Muslim nuclear power and stressed the importance of unity to prevent opportunities for anti-Islamic forces to exploit internal vulnerabilities.

Political Instability Fuels Regional Uncertainty
Faisal warned that Pakistan’s worsening internal situation over the past three years has emboldened external adversaries. Political unrest, escalating terrorism, and public dissatisfaction with the government have deepened the crisis. He pointed to a lack of constitutional supremacy and controversial laws passed by an incomplete parliament accused of public mandate theft.
These factors, Faisal argued, have created regional uncertainty and allowed the US to pressure a politically and economically weakened state. He contrasted this with India, where public support shields its government despite nuclear-related controversies.
