Pakistan suffered a humiliating defeat to South Africa, outstanding batting display by Hendricks & Rassie van der Dussen
South Africa won the second T20I between Pakistan and South Africa by seven wickets with a brilliant batting display of Reeza display of Hendricks & Rassie van der Dussen.
Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first, and scored 205 runs in twenty overs. For Pakistan, Saim Ayub was unbeaten on 98 runs, while Babar Azam scored 31 runs. In the final phase, Irfan Khan scored a quick 30 runs and took the team’s score beyond 200.
Chasing the score, South Africa went down to the wire in the first power play. But Hendrick’s brilliant batting display, along with Van der Dussen’s brilliant innings, spoiled the game.

Hendricks hit 10 sixes and seven fours, hitting a small boundary on the leg side with a pull and flick and the odd sweep, Van der Dussen completed his fifty off 33 balls in the same over, and completed the chase with his fifth six over deep backward square. He remained unbeaten on 66 off 38 balls.
Hendricks and Rassie van der Dussen put on an unlikely stand of 157 for the third wicket until the 18th over when Hendricks was caught by Abbas Afridi near the mid-wicket boundary.
In that match, the two teams jointly scored 416 runs, the highest in the 17-year history of T20 matches.
South Africa won the series 2-0 with one game to spare to win their first T20 series since August 2022.
The final and third match will be played at Johannesburg on Saturday.
