“Open Strait of Hormuz, Reach Agreement Before Deadline, Else We Would…” says President Donald Trump Warns Tehran
The United States could strike Iran massively if Iran does not reach an agreement and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, President Donald Trump said.
While issuing a stern warning to Iran, Trump said that the US military would hit targets in Iran massively if Iran did not open the key energy route before the deadline.
Trump made these remarks during a press conference, hinting at major attacks on Iranian energy and key infrastructure. The meeting was attended by various senior officials, including Joint Chiefs Chairman Dan Caine and US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth.
The meeting came into the limelight a few days after a heroic rescue operation was carried out by US forces, with strong assistance from Israel, to recover two crew members of a downed F-15 fighter jet in southern Iran.
Meanwhile, Iran has rejected the proposal for a ceasefire and declared that sanctions on Iran should be lifted, hostilities should be ended, and reconstruction support should be provided.
As nearly 20,000 people have lost their lives in the Iran-Israel-US war, strong opposition voices and criticism have been raised by NATO allies and Gulf nations for not joining the Iran war.
A few days back, a high-level US official said that Iran is not an imminent threat to the United States, and later, President Donald Trump stated that US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth was the first to insist on military strikes on Iran.
As oil prices have gone up, the key energy route—the Strait of Hormuz—is blocked or can be said to be selectively blocked, and the scarcity is impacting millions across the globe.
