    Washington, Aug. 19 [VoM News]: Small shipments of Nvidia’s most advanced artificial intelligence chips have been permitted to reach China in recent weeks, the Financial Times reported on Sunday, citing people with knowledge of the matter. Beijing has asked companies to keep the chips outside mainland China.

    ByteDance, the social media and artificial intelligence firm, and internet giant Tencent have each been allowed to take about 10,000 H200 processors, a further handful of Chinese technology businesses may be granted related shipments, it added.

    This information comes as Washington continues to keep a tight grip on the export of sophisticated semiconductor know-how to Chinese corporations.
