
Nassem Javaid Chowdhary Appointed as Director of School Education Jammu
Jammu, March 6, 2025 – Mr. Nassem Javaid Chowdhary, a distinguished officer of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS), has officially assumed the position of Director of School Education for Jammu. With a strong background in leadership and public administration, Mr. Chowdhary brings invaluable experience to this new role.
Prior to this appointment, Mr. Chowdhary served as the Managing Director of the Jammu & Kashmir Horticulture Produce, Marketing, and Processing Corporation, where his strategic initiatives played a key role in revitalizing the horticulture sector. His work focused on sustainable growth, innovative marketing strategies, and advancements in processing, significantly contributing to the economic development of Jammu & Kashmir, especially in the agricultural and horticultural industries
Mr. Chowdhary succeeds Mr. Ashok Sharma, who has been reassigned as the Special Secretary to the Government in the Labour and Employment Department. During his tenure as Director of School Education, Mr. Sharma implemented a number of initiatives that enhanced educational infrastructure and improved the overall quality of education in Jammu.
In his new role, Mr. Chowdhary is expected to leverage his administrative expertise to build on these efforts, strengthening the education system in Jammu Division. His leadership will focus on improving access to quality education, fostering innovation in teaching methodologies, and promoting the holistic development of students across the region.
