MoUs Signed to Boost Voter Awareness in Himachal Pradesh
In a move to enhance voter awareness and participation, two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed in Himachal Pradesh.
The first MoU, between the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department and the Election Department, focuses on disseminating voter awareness. Special Voter’s Enrollment and Electoral Participation committees will be formed at the Gram Panchayat level to coordinate activities.
The second MoU, between the Social Justice and Empowerment Department and the Election Department, aims to advance voter awareness among Persons with Disability and transgender individuals.
Lists of eligible individuals will be provided, and assistance will be facilitated through Civil Society Organizations and NGOs.
