Mobile Internet Suspended in Pulwama, Jk for Security Reasons
Mobile internet access has been halted in specific sections of Pulwama district within the Jammu and Kashmir region due to security concerns, according to statements from officials on Tuesday.
The directive to Telecom Service Providers to suspend mobile data services in the Wampora and Hunipora areas of this southern Kashmir district was issued by Vijay Kumar, the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) for the Kashmir Zone, as stated by the officials.

The ADGP’s directive specifically points to the potential misuse of mobile data services by individuals with anti-national intentions, which could lead to a decline in public order, the officials further elaborated.
According to the officials, Telecom Service Providers have been instructed to suspend mobile data services within a three-kilometer radius of these designated areas, commencing from 7 pm on November 5 and continuing until 7 pm on November 8.
